Pet Partners fulfill myriad services to individuals and to communities. The positive benefit of the 'human-animal' bond is very well known - researched, summarized, and publicized in articles, community newspapers, and national television. Individuals of any age that are lonely and depressed benefit from the interaction with an animal. Pet Partners service nursing homes, assisted living centers, and senior centers, lifting spirits and putting joy in an otherwise monotonous day of elders. Pet Partners bring laughter to a scared and lonely child, and are a welcome distraction to exhausted and emotionally drained individuals in emergency or surgery waiting rooms. Pet Partners encourage and celebrate in the accomplishments of a child in a special reading program or an individual struggling during physical therapy session and teach youngsters the do's and don'ts of canine safety. |

Pet Partners provide comfort and security to abuse victims, peace and closure to the dying. Pet Partners have proven their services to the world by tending to the grieving, and providing hope to the survivors and emergency rescue workers during the tragedy of September 11th. At a time of state funding restrictions and economic instability, the need for Pet Partner volunteer services is greater than ever. Due to state budgetary shortcomings, towns and communities are being asked to cut services and make sacrifices. Unfortunately, many good programs and responsible individuals are being eliminated. Pet Partners can assist in providing volunteer services to help fill the gaps - gaps from program loss and person-power reductions. Massachusetts Pet Partners is in the business of promoting the importance of human-animal interactions for human health and well being. As such we provide the same services as Delta Society Pet Partners program. Pet Partners offer animal-assisted activities (AAA), animal-assisted therapy (AAT), and animal-assisted therapy services. |
